I fly to Switzerland on Sunday/Monday, so preparations are well on their way for my trip. I think this is an accurate statement, although my mother laughs every time I tell her all the preparations I have done because nothing is actually in a suitcase. Rectifying that is my goal for tonight and tomorrow though!
I am flying Continental out of Salt Lake City on Sunday at 1:11 pm. I have 36 minutes to switch planes in Houston, so we'll see how that goes. I am not too worried, though, because I suspect there is a later flight from Houston to Newark than 5:50 pm. And even if there isn't, as Maddie points out, she "knows people in Houston" (read: boyfriend).
I will spend the night in Newark with a friend of a UI faculty member who has graciously offered to host me overnight, and then Monday afternoon, I will meet up with everyone else from the Kent State program for the 5:30 pm flight to Geneva, which arrives there at 7 am ish. I think I will not have too much of jet lag problem, between spending the night in Newark and then sleeping (hopefully) on the plane; I think this is excellent!
